ELECTION NOTICE

Effective October 3, 2019 nominations for Local 1075 Executive board offices of President, Executive Vice-President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Vice-President of Monmouth County, Vice-President of Ocean County and Vice-President of Atlantic County, Municipal Units & Authorities shall be conducted via petition for nomination.

Any member in good standing may nominate another member provided that member is in good standing and agrees to be nominated. Nominations for the office of President and Executive Vice-President shall also constitute the nomination of these members as delegates to the CWA Convention held during that term of office.

NOMINATION SCHEDULE

Potential candidates may pick up Nomination Petition Forms and instructions at the Union Office located at 142 Route 35, Red Bank NJ 07701. A signature is required upon receipt of this package. Potential candidates living more than thirty (30) miles from the Union Office may contact the Union Office and request the Nomination Petition package be sent by Certified Mail to their home address.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT NOMINATION PACKAGE

Potential candidates, or a member in good standing that has signed the Nomination Petition, must deliver completed petitions with original signatures to the Union Office by October 25, 2019. Completed original petitions must be received at the Union Office no later than 2:00PM on October 25th. Petitions returned by Certified mail must be received before the deadline.

CERTIFICATION OF CANDIDATES

The Election Committee will verify petitions, determine which candidates meet requirements, and notify candidates whether they are eligible to run for office following the close of the nomination period on October 25, 2019.

For each office the required number of signatures of members in good standing is noted below:

President, Executive Vice-President, Treasurer and Recording Secretary require 150 signatures of Local 1075 members in good standing.

The Vice-President positions for Monmouth County, Ocean County and Atlantic County require 50 signatures of members in good standing of members in each specific county. For example, only signatures of members working for any Monmouth County bargaining unit will be counted for the office of VP of Monmouth County.
